I have a 1990 proof set from mint that has mint marks for Philadelphia on all 5 coins except the penny. Is this unusual? I am still learning so excuse the ignorance. Thank You
Unusual ? Yes, it is also quite valuable. There were a small number of Proof sets issued in 1990 where the cent had no mint mark. I would be very careful with that Proof set if I were you. DO NOT try to open it or tamper with it in any way.
Thanks for info. I have not tampered with seal. This is so much fun ...I wish I had started sooner:hail:
I think you mean San Fransisco. The greysheet bid for 1990 no S cent proof sets is $5600. That is a nice find. Charlie
Maybe I am confused..but the set has one "coin" with just the "P" mint on it. All the other coins have "P" on it except for penny. I am new at this and am not sure I really understand what I have! I wish it was the San Fransisco!
Post a photo of the set please...if the coin is proof that it is an S....if the coins are P's then they are NOT Proofs. Speedy
Thats ok....we all must learn sometime.... When talking about Cents from the mint P....there is never a mintmark. Speedy

Did you read the thread first? The post above yours has the answer. Stop bumping old topics (This one is over 5 years old!) when you question has already been answered, not just here, but in your own thread.
I think the OP should read dates of threads more carefully, but that's just me. This thread must have been buried deep in the archives!
