OK, Merc and Jral1, no buying/selling offers in this forum area. I am sure both were kidding.

I don't have an onion but I do have a stalk of celery.

My opinion, like everyone else, is your coin has PMD.

You appear to be experiencing something called pareidolia.

pareidolia - the tendency to interpret a vague stimulus as something known to the observer, such as interpreting marks on Mars as canals, seeing shapes in clouds, or hearing hidden messages in reversed music.

The more you look at your damaged coin the more you see Mint errors. If you will pay attention to what other experienced collectors here are trying to tell you you may learn a few things.

No need to lock at this time. This thread has deviated from where it began but is just members having harmless fun. It is not a detriment to anything. We try and avoid locking threads unless it's absolutely required...and in this case I don't believe it is. If it gets out of hand, it will be locked. If you see it change please report it...but other than that, leave the moderating to us. ;)

I just wanted to know if This cent was an error/assisted error/PostMD/or someone that made it in there basement. I figured it out though. I am learning and I have read alot of your posts but I dought ill read them all theres to many. I do recomend others do the same. You seem to have a wide knowledge of coins. Do you specialize in any one specific type of coin? Ive done alot of reaserch on error coins so I do know what to look for now(eyes opened wide!). I never noticed anything out of the normal on my cent untill i started researching errorcoins. I just loved the color of it and how it feels in your hand! but now I like it more than ever! Now I will take your advice and sit back and listen for a while.
