Just wanted to draw some attention to this:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270793444468

It's a 1793 S3 in about ef40 for sale on ebay from a seller with zero feedback and sketchy non-matching photos. By they way, the coin if real would be cc4 and worth around 100K.

The photo does not match the Dan Holmes coins, can anyone ID this as a known 1793 S-3? Is it the Husak coins, the Reiver coin, etc?!!!! If it's fake he must have pulled the photos from somewhere...

Been noticing very competitive gold and silver deals on eBay, but have never bought there. Any tips? Looking at this listing and others from this seller: http://cgi.ebay.com/260829850741

That's $6 over melt for each coin, so $18 over melt for all three. I would say no deal but that's just me.

Yeah, the listing is removed. But hopefully they watch this guy like a hawk. You don't accidentally get this dishonest!

wish I remembered the selling ID before, but I am pretty sure it's different... Either way I just reported this again.

I'm just curious but what are you reporting him for because I don't see an option for stealing pictures.

I can't believe how many bids have been made on this.

Well, only 8 actual bidders. Still, at the price they're bidding you think they'd be a little more questioning.

Yeah, exactly. It's nuts. Hopefully it gets pulled soon.

The category is listing practices, fraudulent listing activity...

Without regard to the nature of the ebay coin in question, wouldnt a seller of a coin that valuable be listing it with Heritage or TeleTrade instead of ebay? Is the juice less on ebay?
