1877-S Seated Half

    What would you grade this??
    I found it out metal detecting about 6in down in a tin snuff can. that is why it is has stains on it.

    VF 20 - cleaned - obverse rim ding at 11?

    vf35-xf45. Does look cleaned though. Nice find Jello!

    Detail wise I'd go a low VF ( 20-25), but this a problem coin. It certainly is worth over melt value.

    I'd say about $25 would be a fair price, maybe a bit more, but I'd rather have a Good/vg coin with no issues.

    The "blob S" mintmark is almost comical.

    that's an understatement of the grandest proportions! This coin has been harshly cleaned.

    melt is close to $14...I think about $25 on a bidboard type of thing or ebay is about right, $20 should be no problem. I wouldn't pay much over $15 for it, I don't like it so I'd have to re-sell it,,,need some profit margin.
