Its a 1998 1/10 OZ 5 Dollar Eagle Coin. I found It Looking through my collection and ive never seen it Before.I was wandering if Its real And if so Whats the Price Sorry About The SiZe
The pics are pretty blurry, but from what I can tell it looks legit. It should be about the size of a cent I think, which it looks to be, comparing it with the flip its in. Strange that you didn't know you had it though. Where do you think it came from?
It is a 1/10 oz gold bullion coin. It is worth 1/10 of the current spot price of gold (which at the moment is $1,615.60 making your coin worth $161.56).
Genuine 1/10 oz Eagles trade at a substantial premium to spot. Heck, Provident's paying $10 over spot for them right now ($171.46); if you're looking to buy one, you'd be lucky to find it under $180.
If gold goes up, the dollar goes down. So unless you have more gold than cash...you lose. Plus it would be harder for you to afford cool gold and silver coins. Dont hope that gold rises because you have 1 1/10 oz gold coin.
Hey I wish I have a coin with a value like that. That would really help me Anyway, I have 2 pieces of 1982 Roosevelt Dime.. Are these coins valuable? If so, does anyone know how much will I get if I exchange it for cash? Your answers will be of big help cause I need the money. Thank you
I'm assuming this is a joke of some sort, but if not, here's the smart alec remark... You can exchange those for 20 cents in 'cash,' but there's no exchange needed. Just go spend 'em.
I know it sounds like a joke at FIRST but if you think about it he could be talking about 2 1982 NO MINTMARK dimes which are uncommon and worth about $45 in AU each
I suppose anything is possible but somehow I don't think that is the case. If the poster was asking about 1982 no mintmark coins I would think he would have mentioned that. Instead, assuming the post was not a joke, I suppose he thought coins struck in 1982 are "old" and therefore valuable much like a recent post where a young person here thought his 1969 coin was old.
Me too! It would be nice if he'd check the thread and give us a little more info. He didn't mention "no P" or anything more definitive, so I wonder if he seriously did mean 2 pieces. To the OP with the "found" gold coin-congratulations from a very jealous member lol!
