Grade this 1943 Steel LWC!

    are those nicks in lincolns hair or something on a holder you have the coin in ?

    They look like nicks to me... didn't even notice them... I'm not sure though I've never really looked at a steel cent I'll take a close up of them

    It is hard to read the luster from your pics, but I would guess 64, maybe.

    What do you mean luster? I've heard the term but don't really understand what to look for...

    I doubt they are nicks. Here is a certified 66 to compare it to.

    I pretty much have everything in that set... I'm in this for the long haul haha... I've been roll hunting for the last 2 weeks and can't get enough!

    "Luster" refers to the natural shine of a coin that is generated during the coining process at the Mint. Once a coin enters circulation, its luster gradually decreases.
