Just to clarify...I don't want the mark up on the Ikes themselves. You just keep that. It'll give you more flexibility in what you can accept.

 

Stopped by 2 banks today and found $13 in loose haves with one very bright white edged 1964

 

In response to the Ike talk; do banks still have rolls if Ike/silver(knock on wood) dollars? Or can they order them? I'm SURE it'd be a Long shot to find a peace dollars or anything in the rolls but all this talking reminded me of my grandfathers coin collection(which is what got me really going on the coin collecting) and going through it I seen he had 6-8 peace dollars and it would be Awsome if I could find one for my own collection, and yes I know I could go out and buy one but that coin wouldn't mean anything too me then.By the way it's almost crazy what some of you guys find!

 

I don't think you can order large dollar rolls, just the newer small ones

 

If you find a bank that orders direct from the fed, I understand they can order bags of $1k ike dollars... in which you may find a silver dollar.

I had the pleasure of finding a '23 Peace amongst about 60 bucks in Ikes a few weeks back. Pretty exciting.

 

Haven't posted in awhile but had a few good finds. Picked up $300 in CWR dimes on Friday. Didn't get into them until Sunday. Found 2 roosies in one roll and then 18 in another. Monday, picked up a box of quarters and dimes and a few CWR Ds; pulled a Wisconsin low leaf and Maryland proof in the quarters. Found one roosie and a merc (1925) in the box of dimes as well as one more roosie in CWR. More dimes today brought me three more roosies. Not bad for three days.

I found a 1990 penny with a huge cud error, sold on ebay for $29
found one 1961 nickel clip error and one 1967 dime clip error
when through $10 worth of pennys today and found several wheat pennys and a 1998 WAM

 

That's a good pickup on cents!

 

I was able to find $100 in halves at lunch at one local bank. I thought they were probably someones dumps. As it turned out they were BWR's. Even better:

1 x 1964 Kennedy
15 x 40% Kennedy's

I ran back to see if he had more in the box (assuming it was from a box), and they said that was it. However, he was happy to order for me. So, I said sure. I don't even have an account there, but the guy has always been helpful when I've gone in.

Also got a box of dimes to search tonight. Best day in a loooongg time for me!

 

I found $100 in halves. The first bank I went to they said some guy who comes in often dropped them of, so of course I wasn't really wanting to search them. However, I did and found nothing. Then I went to a different bank and got one roll, which just so happened to contain 6 x 40% and 1 '64.

 

This week I have not had a chance to search because I have been spending my lunch breaks dumping clad and rolling up more coin to dump on my next lunch break (no coin counters around these parts). So I figure I make a phone call or two to set up some boxes of dimes for me to pick-up later in the week or over the weekend now that I have some cash to roll with again. I heard a rumor that one of the banks I have accounts with takes bulk coin in and counts it then credits your account. So I made a call and the guy on the phone tells me they have coin conting machines at some branches. What????!!!! I say where. He names off a few and I'm totally surprised to hear my local branch has a new coin counting machine!!!! What makes it bad is that I have rolled and dumped coins here in the past month, and set up a bank account for my daughter at this branch. How did I miss this new coin counting machine (past six months) with no fees for customers. I'm hoping this thing does not count dimes as pennies and it will help me increase the amount of coin I'll be able to go through each week. So I'm heading over there in the next day or two to test this thing out and pick me up a box-o-dimes!!! Whoooooo

Grabbed a box of halves at lunch, best box I've had in awhile. Half way thru right now and found 5 40%ers & 1 90%. Looking forward to tearing into the 2nd half of that box after work!
