    Hello,
I finished my 1897-1912 v nickel coin collection, they are in a g-4 thru f and 1 vf. The collection doesnt look as good as my IHC collection. Should I sell it on ebay or should I continue to finish the set?
    Thanks

Why such a hurry to sell it? If you are a true collector you should keep it and continually add to it.

Only you can answer that question. Just be aware that finishing that set will require some big bucks for the 1885 coin. If you're already having second thoughts and like the cent collection better, I'd just collect the Indian cents instead.

BTW, I am finishing a Liberty V nickel set in F-VF and I enjoy that because it's tougher to find the V nickels with full liberty. But's that me. You have to decide what you like. Collect what you enjoy most.

Now the fun starts to upgrade the coins in the set. I think you will enjoy it.

My recommendation for this approach is to finish a 20th century V nickel collection in F-VF. That's very reasonable.

You even get an opportunity to experience buying a key date, the 1912-S. I've seen that offered for $250 in Fine. All of the other coins are less than 20 bucks for those dates. Maybe the 12-D would be a little more, but that's it.

Also, a 20th century type set of all non-gold US coins would make a very nice collection. A type set is an alternative to a date run set.

Collect what you like. That's most important.
