Lamination

I have been corresponding for some time with a disillusioned CT poster who thinks we are too mean... He just sent me this photo and it looks like a lamination to me...chime in please:

If you mean by the date to my tired eyes it look like it took a hit.

 

+1 for delamination.

 

Can you insert a thin piece of paper into/under the surface of the suspected de-lamination?

Seriously? Tell the person that this is not the place to be if they don't want to hear the truth or learn from the specialist!

Delamination. In a De-laminated the separated metal would be missing.

I'm not sure how the others came to their conclusions, but I can't tell from that photo. With the date damage, it could be just PMD I'm seeing.

 

It fell off.

 

See if you can find it.

 

He has it, it just fell off when he touched it. Imagine that, all these years and then just falls off!

 

Do you know where he touched it? Just get out a magnifying glass and get on the floor, that's what I'd do. You never know, you might find it.

 

Then you can just glue it back on, no one will know.
