Why not try searching nickels? You can pull Buffaloes, war nickels, etc.

You can sell the currency if you don't want to keep. I would take some pics of the notes and post them over on the Paper Money forum as you have something that's worth more than you realize.

    Or start collecting currency!

I've searched nickels before, I have 4 war nics that I have pulled so far, I just never really got into them that much. I'll give them a try again, for what they are worth they really are a great value ($.05 war nic for over $2.00 in silver value is a great investment). I honestly have been trying to pull a Merc from circulation. I'm kind of amazed at how others find Mercs on what seems like a regualr basis. I'm up to 48 Roosie sans Merc or Canadian silver.

Thanks Moonshine for the advice, I really have no idea on what these bills are worth, maybe there is someone out there that will trade for silver coinage. I'll check out the paper money forum as suggested.

If you post the series and serial #s, we could give you an approximate book value, but depending on condition, they're probably not worth too much over face. Very cool though, and definitely worth keeping, I'd say.

You won't find a merc until you stop targeting them. ;)Let them find you.

I'll do that, some are pretty beat, but some look nice. I have a series of 5 or 6 $2 bills uncirc in order. I'll make a list and post in the paper money forum.
    Thanks

    Need some assistance and/or advice

So, this year is my 7th wedding anniversary. Shortly after I first started sorting Cu P's, I started thinking about our wedding anniversary gift (gotta plan these things way in advance); lo and behold, I discover that the traditional 7th anniversary gift is copper. I wasn't sure what I could get that would be cool and made from copper, and the idea sort of went on the back burner. Well, now I'm thinking about it again... I've decided to get a bracelet made with Cu P's from the year of her birth.

I am going to sort through my Cu P's and find some 1971's (shhhh, you didn't hear her age from me); I'd like to make them real shiny, like new P's. What's the best way to polish them up? These won't be for any kind of collection value, so the rules about not trying to clean them don't apply here. Just trying to find out if older P's can be polished up to look close to new, or should I try to get a hold of some really nice condition 1971-S P's to start with? Anyone got any they want to part with?

Just did $200 in halves, $20 in dimes, $20 in quarters. TD said they are short on boxes until Thursday... Found NOTHING, I'm actually short .50 because in the first roll of halves was a 50 cent piece from Ecuador...really got my hopes up because the edges were blast white...

Just dropped off $100 in dimes and traded for Q's ($120). I threw in an extra $20. That's really all they could spare they told me. Small town banks have been putting a damper on my CRHing. Anyway they were all skunks of course with a couple Canadians to get me all excited...again. I have never scored a Q from CRHing. They did call some of the other branches looking for hlaves but came up with nothing. They also told me to speak with the head teller, he could order me coin so I will meet with him next time I go in there and he is available.

$1000 in quarters skunked. I did find a 2009 Mens Hockey Canadian quarter which is kinda neat and a 2011 Grand Canyon quarter with a small error on it. Picked up a 1967 half this morning at work :)

The only silver quarter I have ever gotten came from change from a $3 purchase at a dollar store...

8 rolls of dimes today with 'nothing'.

I'm VERY new to roll searching (only 12 rolls under my belt) but already highly discouraged. My rolls seem filled with 1965 - 1969 dimes, which makes me feel as if I may just be a little too late to the game, with all the currency being picked through long before me.

Not a lot? That's an awesome score for $30 in nickels.

I haven't been able to cash or pick up in a few days cause of work and having other stuff to do on my breaks.

Killing me. Tomorrow I will absolutely get at least 1 box of dimes and 1 box of nickels.
