I know it's a Steal. Maybe that's why some think it's fake. I will get it checked out but I know I got it from someone with no knowledge of coins.

Well since I think it's real. I will sell it thinking that its real before I make myself feel horrible about that purchase. 35 bucks as is. =)

All we can tell you is you either got a great deal from uneducated people, or you ended up with one of the millions of counterfeits out there. As has been said, there's so many counterfeits around now, from different eras, in different conditions, it's hard to tell. Especially Morgans. Especially CC Morgans.

I was suspicious immediately once you said you paid $35 for it. Most people who buy and sell Morgans would know that CCs have value well above melt. If I would have been there and they offered to sell it for $35 I might have passed out of suspicion. The situation just isn't normal.

The first time I went to the shop the husband did check prices of the coins. But I chose very common dates and got them for 35 dollars a piece. The wife remember me as "The Chinese Guy who's good at math" She first told me "I can set them aside for you and you come and pick it up later because the person who knows anything about these coins are not here" I then told her I work far away and won't be able to come for a while. She gave in and said "How much did you pay last time for these coins" I said $35 a piece. So then she wanted 105 for 3 morgan dollars. I really doubt it's a fake and I won't think that its a fake anymore because I let a buddy of mine check them out and they're all real. He's been collecting since he was a kid. If it was worth more money I would send it in to get graded, but I hear that PCGS charges like $50 or something like that which I believe wont be worth it. But sadly I can't grade a coin if my life depended on it... Maybe after a few years of collecting I could grade coins. Untill then I will try to find more deals!
