How much will it cost for a mm and date set of nickels from 1883 - 2011 and pennies from 1859 - 2011. Thanks!
No varieties except the 1960 and 1960-d small date and the grade isGoing to be g-vg and maybe even au or ag.
you can look up the values at ngc or pcgs website, the key dates cost make up more than half the cost.
While you're looking up the values of all of them, pay special attention to the 1877, 1908-S & 1909-S IHC's in any grade. Chris
Don't forget semi-keys like 1870-172 in the IHC's. I seem to recall that a set in G/VG grade range of IHCs was around 1200 - with more than 90% of that cost being made up by the cost of the keys and semi key dates.
I don't care if it had problem as long as it isn't bent or cleaned. When I look it up it just said for pcgs graded coins. Any suggestions?
From CDN: FEC & IHC 1857-1909 Good-VG $1,975 Ask (no 1856, 58/57, 69/69) If you don't want the FEC 1857 or 1858 (Large Letters and Small Letters) deduct $24 + $24 + $22 = $70 So $1,905 for 1859 to 1909-S (no 69/69). Lincoln Cents 1909-1933 Good & Better Ask $1,225 (no 1922 Plain, 44-D/S, 55/55, 72/72) Lincoln Cents 1934-1940 Good & Better $4 (estimated - not included in Grey Sheet) Lincoln Cents 1941-1958 Good & Better Ask $4.50 (no 1955 DDO) - note the overlap in 1941 Lincoln Cents 1959 to date BU Ask $135 (includes 'S' Proofs) Shield Nickel 1883 Good Ask $15.50 Liberty Nickels 1883-1912 Good-VG Ask $1,075 Buffalo Nickels 1913-1938 Good & Better Ask $1,450 (no 16/16 or 18/17-D) Jefferson Nickels 1938-1964 Good & Better Ask $31 Jefferson Nickels 1965 to date BU Ask $82 (includes 'S' Proofs) That is a total of $5,923 Ask. In all likelihood you won't be able to buy at Dealer Ask so adjust that figure appropriately. Also be aware that key date coins account for much of the total: IHC - 1877 $700, 1909-S $525, 1908-S $82 Lincoln Cents - 1909-S VDB $685, 1914-D $185, 1931-S $95 Liberty Nickels - 1885 $515, 1886 $245, 1912-S $145 Buffalo Nickels - 1938-D 3-Leg $475, 1913-S T2 $310, 1913-D T2 $105 And deduct for modern Proof coins if you don't want to include them.
Huh? AU = About Uncirculated What does "ag" stand for? (Gold can be written 'Au' and silver can be written 'Ag'. Cents and Nickels do not contain gold or silver - except for War Nickels that contain silver.)
