Alfred S. Colella Coin Tubes

I am trying to find some of the original Alfred S. Colella coin tubes to store some of my Engelhard and Johnson Matthey coins. I received some tubes of Engelhard coins that came in these types of coin tubes and can't seem to find any empty tubes online anywhere. One of the Alfred S. Colella tubes I have actually has the Engelhard logo stamped in the lid (which I thought was really nice). The others are just plain on the top of the lids. These tubes have the Alfred S. Colella name stamped on the bottom of the tubes and I'm assuming that they made these specifically for different companies at one time.
These tubes are very similar to the Numis tubes except that the lids are a little taller and do not twist all the way around like a Numis. They have locking nubs on the bottom to secure the lid. The extra height on the lid will store either 20 or 25 coins in the tube. The tubes measure about 3 1/4 inches in height (with the taller lid), where the Numis tube is only around 3 inches tall.

If anyone knows anything or has any information on these tubes, I would appreciate your input. I know that Alfred S. Colella was the original inventor of the square coins tubes and they might not make them anymore. However, if anyone knows if they are available online anywhere either new or used...I would be interested in knowing where I could get some.

Wow...I guess nobody has heard of these or has any information on these coin tubes. Kind of surprised!

I ran across this site too, but never found where you could buy any tubes from them. I just got linkds to other sites. So I tried calling the number on the website, but never got a call back from anyone.
Is there somewhere on the site that shows their tubes and where you can buy them?
I will try and post some pictures later of my tubes.

I finally got around to posting some pictures this morning, but i'm having trouble getting them on here. I used the "image" button above to select the photos and they all showed up, but would not upload. I checked for the correct format and they are all pdf files. I then followed the directions given at the beginning of the forum, but I can't find anything that says "manage attchments" below the text box. Any help would be great.

This company went out of business a few years ago, after the orrigional creater passed away. I inherited 14 Alfred B. Colella "dime" size tubes recently and was getting ready to list them on e-bay, along with the rest of my coin tube collection, when I came across this posting. They proabably aren't the size you are looking for, and they don't have the stamp on the lid that you mentioned, but you said you couldn't find any, so I thought I'd let you know about these ones. The lids are stamped "10-c".

Thats interesting to hear. So many people don't even know what your talking about so it's good to know someone who does. Thanks for posting. I guess I can look at them on Ebay, but I was looking for the 1oz tubes for my Engelhard coins. If you have any of those I might be interested. I just have not collected any dimes yet though I may in the future. Thanks so much. Let me know what to look for on Ebay and I will look them up.

Is anyone still looking for these tubes? I know I am WAY late to this post but thought I would check.
