I live in New Jersey, Toms River area and I plan to check out some prices of coins I have come upon. They are Canadian, most that I have are probably worth nothing, but a few are quite old and after some internet research I have found they may be worth a few hundred dollars. They are Canadian pennies: 1940, 1944, 1945, 1946 dimes: 1943 (silver) and 1965 (silver--I don't think this one is worth anything.) I have lots of other coins from 1950's-1970's and online they are possibly 0-$100 but it depends on some things like hanging or guitar. and other stuff I do not really understand. All are slightly dirty but in pretty good shape. If anyone is, or knows and appraiser online or in Jersey, or a buyer for certain coins, please let me know. Thanks!

best places to look up prices are www.ha.com, www.ebay.com. and www.teletrade.com, each site will give you an idea of what coins are selling for on today's market. now some sites like www.numismedia.com are good but if they are not updated regularly then it may be off a bit. (which may or may not hurt you)
I bought a CoinWorld for $5 one time, because I liked the topic(well I like all topics but I especially liked this one), and it came with a promo code for 1 year free all access price guide which is normally $75.00 but it was free if you had the code, on numismedia or something.....It was awesome! I like it and I use the library's coin mags, and have checked out all of their coin worlds!
This price guide is only for coins that have been graded and slabbed by PCGS and is very much a full retail value pricing that most modern coins have not been getting for the last few years.

NGC now has a deal with numismaster that now provides all of Numismaster with the values for free to anyone who wants to use it. If you go to NGC's website, select the NGC Research tab, the price guides and finally World Price guide.
