Yea is hard to tell with a 2x2. And yes after looking more i was thinking vf. The 2x2 makes it hard to see if there's a cleaning or not.

This is my VF25 for comparison

 

Picked these up about a year ago, just now getting around to unpacking them and getting them imaged. On the fence about sending them in; think it's only really worth it if they come back as MS.

This is one of the nicest coins posted here in a while… and it’s a T$1. Love the toning!

 

Last night on ebay these popped up. I like toned quarters. The seller had them stupid cheap. I think I would have started these at .01 and let them go. I think they would have brought double what he was asking.

 

What was he asking?

Grabbed this little sweet thing last night. It's an MS-67



I picked up the Peacock from a Civil War token auction. It's an M21, MS-63 BN.

 

22.95 and 24.95 and free shipping. I've seen coins like this in whatever holders bring 50 to a hundred with that toning. A piece. And I always like something retro. And yes these will be nice. I keep checking tracking. I hope they come Saturday

 

Posted these over in the bullion forum but figured better to post here. Got these last month but just got home to see them in person.

 

1917 type 1 - that's a toughy, shield and upper body, definitely XF, but the leg and some of the details might knock it down. Here's an AU50 type 1 (Denver) obverse that I have a pic of handy (that I think is a 53-55), just so you can compare - I'm guessing it's a VF30-35. It's a beauty though, much respect!

 

Thats a great price. As long as in hand they are good for the grade.

 

It is what it is with anacs grading anyway. I'm not concerned if they're proper or not. They might even be 66s who knows? I just like them for the eye appeal of the toning combined with the holder. I have a lot of Washington quarters in different holders. I actually think these are the only holders like this in my collection.

The seller ended up having one more of these toned quarters in a slab like this. I messaged him to see if he had more but this was the last one.

 

I've had decent results after I've bought asking if the seller has any more items they are going to list at a later date.
If so include a way of contacting them later in the shipping package...no hard sales tactics.

 

I just feel bad because I have 2 others i just bought from him. They aren't even here yet. Now he pays shipping again. And it was set for free shipping.
