I never started to keep track, but most of them came from CRW and bags of dimes when the bank used to sell me them

Awesome Noob - that's very impressive. That's close to 80 oz of Silver right there. I can't wait to see the day I can get to 10 rolls!

    Weekend

Went to cash in $200 in dimes I rolled up and BoA said they did not want them like that and took them as a favor. I guess their customers don't take them hand rolled because they might be short. I actually ran into some rolls on Friday that contained 46 dimes, 48 dimes, and 52 dimes, so I hear what they are saying. They gave me this large plastic coin bag like they use in the TD bank Penny Arcade machines. Put the coin in there and drop it off for deposit into my account within a week. They send it somewhere to be counted by them and credit the account. I hope ALL BoA branches do this because this one was farther away from home. Anyone ever heard of this. It would make dumping in my area easier, but tie the money up for alot longer...have to get a bigger bank roll to search with I guess.

Anyway...got two boxes of dimes over the weekend.

    Box 1 - Solid 2011
    Box 2 - Skunk

Bummer after a solid week with 7 Roosies...still waiting on my first Mercury dime.

Went through $500 in quarters today and found:

    *A whopping nine Canadians.
*Three pretty nice original Washingtons (1983-P, 1986-P, and 1998-D)
    *A 1 Deutschmark from 1983.
*The interesting thing about this hunt though was I found what appeared to be part of someone's State Quarter collection; I found rolls full of shiny Michigan, Texas, and Washington State Quarters. I'll probably dump those because they weren't solid, fed-wrapped bank rolls of quarters.

I too am still working on my first roll on silver dimes...I'm at 45 so maybe with a little luck and a week like last I'll be there.

    45 Roosie
    0 Mercs

    Little strange in my opinion

The BoA's I go to have mixed policies. I was told at one branch I can bring rolled or loose - rolled is free, loose is $3/bag. Another branch told me $5/bag rolled or loose. Other branches, have said nothing either way. I'm finding the policies vary from branch to branch, even day to day... very frustrating.

Recently, I've been going from bank to bank with odd amounts of CWR's in mixed denominations, keeping the amounts under $300 or so. About 2/3 of the banks, just cash it for me, account or not. In my area, the banks are always concentrated in small areas - I'll find 6-8 banks all within a few blocks of each other. One week I'll hit up all the banks in one area; the next week, I move to another area; the next week, another area. I'm thinking if I keep the amounts low and mixed, and develop maybe a half dozen areas, the same banks won't see me more than once every 6-8 weeks.

Very good to know...thanks for the information. This is the first bank that told me that and offered the bag to turn them in, and they did not mention anything about charging any fees. I'm going to cash in $250 today on lunch at a bank that told me they would swap them out with CWR's they get and use mine for their merchants. I'm then hitting BoA in my town to see what they say. I would love to bring them $500 in halves every now and again so I can start ordering boxes of those.

Went into BoA and asked about them processing the bags of coin. They said there is a charge so bring in the rolled ones and I will not get charged. Don't really want to do that and make them my dump bank as I only buy there now. The next problem is, I brought $250 to trade with another bank. They only had $150 so I took that and $100 Q's. Well the Q's were skunk and $105 out of the $150 of dimes were mine I brought them the other week to trade with them. It looks like I pretty much have tapped out these small banks in my town.

I might have to go back to dumping once a week (out of town) on the weekends and only be able to search a box or two a week. Or I start searching Q's??? This will put a huge dent in what I can go through in a week, there are only so many banks within a 30 minute drive from me. Not cool.
