I picked this guy up for $12. What do you guys think, good deal? Sorry for the pics, I didn't want to take it out of the protector.
Well, I have a coin from every other mint, so I had to get this one. Edit: I don't have one from Charlotte or Dahlonega. I don't collect gold coins.

I'm a big fan of the 1996-W Roosevelt Dime which was issued only in the 1996 Mint Sets for the 50th anniversary of the Roosevelt dime. I have a little over a full roll of them now and buy them every so often when I find a good deal. In almost all cases, I purchase the entire 1996 Mint Set to acquire the dimes. That way, I'm getting the coin in the original packaging and I also can get a much better deal on the dime that way. As of May 2011, the Greysheet bid/ask price on the 1996 Mint Set is $11/$12. However, many dealers price their sets above this level knowing that the 1996-W dime is popular. Other dealers will just remove the 1996-W dime and sell the rest of the set to collectors unaware of the 1996-W dime. But there are still dealers out there that sell the 1996 Mint sets (complete with the 1996-W dime) at Greysheet prices. But always check to make sure the dime is in the set! At the last Long Beach show, I purchased 12 1996 Mint sets from a single dealer for $130 ($10.83 per set). That's a great price for just the dime, but the Mint sets also include $1.82 face value in other coins. Accordingly, if I wanted to I could spend those other coins and bring the cost of the dimes down to $9.01 each. Even better, if I sold the sets intact at a local show or local coin club meeting, but just without the dime, I bet I could get more than just face value, even further reducing my cost basis in the dime. But overall, $12 for the OP's dime isn't a bad price, I just think there are better deals out there if you get a little creative
