    This is probably a stupid question ... but can a nickel be a woody?
    I noticed similar looking parallel lines (esp. on the obverse) on this nickel I bought yesterday.

    1982 unless you can find a 1983 copper cent. If so, then it might be 83.

    I would think it would be 1982, the final year of the copper cent...LOL,perfect timing...
