Here is a really nice coin that crossed my desk this morning. So many of these seated coins have been cleaned or altered from their original condition that seeing this coin was refreshing. A nice lightly circulated example. I wanted to share. enjoy!
One of my favorite coins actually. These are probably the most common date, and I used to cherry pick the 7 finger varieties from WB book at shows. I actually found 3 of them that I bought at common prices. This is how SL coins should look, and why I loved collecting them so much. In XF/AU they are nice looking coins, and scarcer than you think. I still have mine, and occasionally will buy a nice one like this just on principle. TYVM for sharing it. Chris
I love that coin! I myself don't have an example for my own collection but I rather aww others' Seated Halves! :smile
Your Seated Liberty Half Dollar is sensational! You say it crossed your desk this morning. Did it just arrive in the mail or did you buy it on the internet? Or did it pop up out of thin air? Ha ha, just joking. Seriously, where did you get it if you don't mind my asking? It is a "Wow" coin in my book and has eye appeal galore. Just the type of coin I strive to collect.
I love the toning on that coin. It doesn't get much better than that; a classic US coin, in nice condition, with superior toning.
We have quite a few advanced collectors as customers...one of them is slowly liquidating some of his coins and turning them into bullion, so that's where this coin came from.
the toning is great but i guess ill have to be the thorn and say that without seeing it in hand something doesnt look right.
