1797 King George III Cartwheel Penny

    First off if this is in the wrong section I apologize.

    I was wondering if anyone could help me, my grand father has a 1797 King George III Cartwheel Penny and has asked to to see if I can find out any infomation on the marks on the coin, hes not trying to sell the coin but always wondered what the markings was.

    I agree Lion. Probably meant something to someone at one time, but there's no way to know. Interesting all the same.
