Yeah, I dumped some Ikes at the bank before because I didn't have enough for a box of halves, and couldn't wait 7 days for an ebay auction. But I would definitely ebay those *******s, that's way too many Ikes to hold on to.

Well, I just wrapped up cherrypicking, pretty sure I have one or two MS65's here, pumped about that... there was a lot of 64's that came out of one batch I picked up a while back. Also, I finished my circulation ike set in MS condition.

I didn't get any boxes this week. I did stop at a few banks and found 74 worth of halves:

Skunked on dimes and nickels... when will the 2011's go away? They're everywhere, jeeze.

Think I'm going to intentionally start mutilating them.

 

Kind of a fun box of cents this morning found a 1909 VDB!, 1918-s, 1929-s, 1934-D, RB 1954-D 6 red early 60's
Box of dimes was skunk until the very last roll which had a 1964 dime in it.

Got around to going to 4 nearby banks asking for halves and out of $11 in halves, got one 1969-D 40%er. My first silver so far.

Crappy Dimes

All,

It's been a week since I've found silver!

The last $750 dimes I have picked up are just skunk on silver. This is way below my average, not sure what is going on here. If I combine those numbers with my recent mini Road Trip, we are talking
$2200 searched and have found 4 silver Roosie, yikes, that is no fun. $600 of that is solid 2011 P's. Two solid boxes and $100 BWR of 2011 P's have to stop. I'd be happy to just get my hands on something other than 2011's. I have $160 in cash and $200 more hand rolled that I'm going to cash in on my lunch break and try and pick up some more to see what happens.

Has anyone else been finding this many 2011's. I know Ace said he has been fining lots but still finding silver in the same box. I literally found one non 2011 dime in one box I searched. Merc is finding lots of 2011 as well but you managed to pull a silver. Geez, I might have to start doing some nickels, but I prefer to search dimes and halves.

Also Merc, that Peace Dollar is such a sweet find man. Good for you. Buying that many Ikes you deserve to find a keeper every now and again.

Thanks Merc, I need it buddy. I going to get $360 for today and hopefully none of that will be 2011's and there is some silver in there. Since I have only been at this for a little while, does this happen every year at the same time and how long until these 2011's get circulated and we get back to circulated currency? Thanks

No silver in my morn, I searched $10 in cents and $25 in nickels. Turned up a crusty dug up Indian cent, haven't yet determined the date. It is my 3rd Indian find in cent box searches this year.

I would like to know what have you been finding as far as 2011 coin goes. Have you been coming across alot of 2011 dimes in your area? Or is that something you don't search. That is something I have been trying to find out as I have been sharing with evryone here, I'm inundated with 2011 P. Information like that would be useful and certainly appreciated and in my opinion not consider a "trash" post.
