Cool! PCGS is tougher on copper than NGC or ANACS but once slabbed it will sell for more, generally. You did very well. Congrats. I think it will come back 62RD. Lance.
The owner of the coin shop that I had send it in thinks it should come back with a 64RD, I'm a little skeptical about that, but it would be nice!
You guys will be the first place I come to once I get it back! I may or may not sell it to the coin shop though, depending on what kind of price they can give me
Woot! Got a call yesterday about my coin getting back from PCGS, so I went in today to check it out. It came back as MS64RD! woohoo!
That's great news for you. what is it worth as a 64RD? Are you going to sell that baby or keep it and hope it gains in value?
According to PCGS, $500. It's kind of cool the population of them is so low, and that I found one of them Well with that said, I feel that it will sell for between 300-400 in todays market as 500 seems pretty steep for it. I would have liked to have kept it, but bills came calling and this came back at the right (or wrong?) time. So, since the coin shop was interested in buying it, I went ahead and sold it to them for $285. It seemed like a fair price to me, since the slabbing/grading cost 65 and there would be eBay fees if I were to sell it myself (seeing as I am not a shop owner and can't put it on my shelves(since I have none lol)).
Good for you, It's nice to know that the money will come in handy for you and your family. I'm sure it'll find a nice home, and maybe you'll find another one....:smile
So anyway like i was saying if you go to my profile and then hit "home page" thats my site.. i have some pretty neat stuff
