I'll mainly be looking for WWII nickels, but buffs or earlier will probably be kept as well. It's kinda like how I keep wheaties separate from Cu P's...

May as well keep some of those real low mint Jeffersons though...I was keeping all that were less than 40M mint.

I keep all pre-60 nickels and BU's prior to '80 or thereabouts. Full step BU's up until '90.

I picked up 2 boxes of halves from BOA today, which will be my usual amount (just started back up again last week). Both boxes were very interesting.

    1st Box : 23 NIFC, including 12 2009, 6 P's, 6 D's. '04 and '08 Proofs. A 2008 Panama coin(which I don't know the denomination or value?). 5 40%, 1 1964, and 1 1963 Franklin.
    2nd Box : 20 NIFC, including 12 2009. 9 P's, 3 D's. '73 Proof. 3 40%.

I finally tallied up my totals from my first 20 boxes ($10,000), not including these last 2 boxes and the results are : 102 total silver (5.1 silver per box, which also happens to be the average for the last 2 boxes) 81 40%, 21 90%. The Western Hemisphere is where its at! - LOL silversurfer

Box of halves - 18 40ers, 2 '64s, and 1 Franklin, and a 100 NIFCs! A really good box. I might have to dump my NIFC collection, it's taking up too much of my roll searching $$$

wow, killer box colligo, do you often pull that much silver? what type of box was it? (NF String, Brinks, etc.) are you planning to just turn in your NIFCs or try and sell them on ebay. (i am going to have to dump some of mine soon also)

    Nice box colligoergosum!

Got a skunk box today. Tried to pickup at another bank, but the coin delivery truck hadn't come in yet, that's ok, just picking it up tomorrow now instead.

Box of nickels; 1 '45-S, and a 1907. That's two V-nicks in my last three boxes after two in the first 60 or so.

Recently I have had 3 or 4 boxes like that in a row, all Brinks, before that I was pulling 2 or 3 clad per box (I get 2 boxes per week). I was planning on just dumping the NIFCs at a bank. Has anyone sold rolls of mixed NIFCs before?

    Actually... screw it, let me just post my nickel numbers. I was wrong, for starters, I'm approaching 100 boxes of nickels in a hurry. Currently sit at $8,535 in nickels searched, and I have the following to show for it;

    4 V-Nickels
    71 Buff Nickels
    99 War Nickels

Highly probable my next box will hold my 100th war nickel. That also means that I found 2 V-nickels nickels in the prior 82 boxes, not 60, as I said earler, up until these past three. Oh, and the one I got today is a nice, problem-free example, I'd grade it G6.

As you probably know, I am not a penny searcher but wanted to share. I was not searchng today but stopped by a bank on way home from picking up my kid to dump $100 in change. One of my tellers was working and said she saved something for me. A guy came in and turned in pennies in old wrappers so she thought I might want them. 40 rolls. 10 are all wheats the first with years from 1919-1945. She also gave me 20 BU original bank rolls from 1974 and the other 10 are from assorted years. The oldest penny in any of it is 1974. Due to the 10 rolls of wheats (some great shape) this is my "oldest" big find.

2 boxes of dimes produced 2 Rosies. I now have 48 total silver Rosies, 3 Mercs, and 1 Canadian Silver dime. Two more Rosies and I'll have my first roll of Silver Dimes! Should come tomorrow! Positive thinking!

    Ace,
Those are some nice numbers. I have not been at this too long only a couple months and have pulled 34 Silver Roosie. I still have yet to find a Merc. I'm planning on a 4 hour road trip loop on Friday morning (4 hours meaning that is how long I have to spend CRHing, not actual drive time). The first objective to dump and reload at 9 when the banks open. I have a route planned out where I can dump and pick up 4 or 5 other times $500 each time. I should be able to search min $2K. I was kind of hoping I would get some good dimes boxes and finish my first roll of Roosies and find my first Merc. If they have any halves I'll search those while I'm at it as well.
