Here's a link to my NGC Registry Set for US gold coins. Hopefully it will work (I still have trouble with this). http://coins.www.collectors-society.com/registry/coins/MySets_Listing.aspx?PeopleSetID=57246
Link works great Kanga. That's quite an impressive set. I especially like your high relief 1907 Saint.
Here's a couple: Only pics I have readily available. Not pictured: 1849-O gold dollar NGC EF-40, 2008 $5 bald eagle commem PF70, and a 1/10 oz AGE 14k ring with diamonds in the corners that I got at the tail end of 2008 for $250 shipped. Ring has 0.28 pure in it.
I've never seen a reverse proof in real life. I'll have to look for one the next show I go to. Looks like they could be quite appealing.
The OP says post your GOLD pics, so it must not have to be a pic of a coin. The wafers are gold Oz from the Homestake mine in Lead SD. The one on the left was produced to commemorate the mine being open for a hundred years 1876-1976 and came from a 400 oz bar as they passed their 36th million Oz mark. The Homestake operated until 2002 and produced a record 40 million Oz! Tenths, quarters, and half Oz where made from the same bar, so the mintage is pretty low. The smaller wafer is much rarer and I've only seen three in my life. The ore samples are much cooler though and it is not often when a nice one surfaces. I never get tired of gazing at this gold shot slate. The grey green schist, pyrite and quarts compress is unique to the Black Hills and most of this ore was milled and processed. I'm just glad some of it survived today. The gold produced in the Black Hills made its way to the new Denver mint in 100 Lb bars as it would be hard to make off with any that big. It was my interest in gold coin that led me to being a mining buff and I think it goes hand in hand with coin collecting. Am I the only one that feels this way? Let me know guys. Thanks, Matt
I've got two, my 1900 $5 Gold Liberty Half Eagle and my 1924 Saint Gaudens. Here's my Half Eagle, I bought it raw for $350 last year. I know it's not the best pictures, but they atleast show the coin. Here's my 1924 Saint Gaudens Double Eagle, certified by PCGS as MS-64. This one ran $1,860.
.. now for something slightly different .. sundry India Pagoda's ... Enjoy viewing/posting everyone's excellent gold here. Thanx - Les.
Interesting Indian pieces.. They look small and old, are they? This coin belongs to Toneddollars from both NGC and PCGS. I feel fortunate to have been given the opportunity to image it.
