    Hi all,
here are a couple photos of the coins that my daughter chose at the Baltimore show . She really likes Egyptian coins with the ancient motifs. I let her chose any 2 coins that she really liked from the case. Good thing she didn't notice the gold coins located in the upper left corner LOL. I think she did pretty well for an 8yr old. I'm trying to encourage her as much as I can.

    Thanks for looking!
    Mark

She has a great eye for coin design's. I really think they are really cool looking coins.

Thanks Iceman, she is really happy with them. She also got a few other egyptian coins. This was her second big show, she wants to know when the next one is LOL.

I think we've got another collector in our midst. The dear young lady certainly has a good eye for design and what appears to be "proof". She seems to want the best.....(somewhat like her Dad:))

She indeed has her daddys eye. Yes they are both proofs. It is just so nice that she is getting more interested in collecting
It is some real quality time when we look at coins together. She may have to get a job soon though LOL!

    Thanks Zeke,
I didn't stear her at all. I though for sure she was gonna go for the cats from the Isle of Man which would have been fine. I pointed them out to her just in case she didn't see them. She went with Egypt proofs.

  12. Wow, glad to hear you have a daughter that is interested in coins. And not the normal coins either!... I really wanted to make the Baltimore show, but I had other things come up. I know you are somewhere near Philly so I expect to meet you there at the next one.

Hey Mark, you better get her a job because she'll be cutting into your coin money. Now tell me, and be truthful. If you were salivating over a beautiful Icelandic coin and she were begging you to buy her a nice Egyptian and you didn't have enough to buy both what would you do? You could explain to her how life isn't fair and then buy your Icelandic coin...not a good idea though because them your daughter, and even worse your wife would be really PO'd at you. Or you could suck it up and buy her the Egyptian and be a hero to all the women in your life. Easy choice right Mark?...Mark...Hello, Mark...are you there?

LMAO, yes I'd have to be the hero. My daughter is a really good kid, there's no way I could say no!

Great!, we will met up at the Philly show. It's great putting a face with the name. so far everybody I have been lucky enough to met in person from CoinTalk have been incredibly nice. You'd be very suprized by how many of us are right in this area. We will work out the details between now and then. I look forward to meeting you!

    Thanks Mark!,
I'm trying to let her find her intrest right now. I'm very happy that she is enjoying it. Another reason I want her to learn about the hobby is I'm not gonna live forever. My whole collection will be hers at somepoint. I want her to understand the hobby so that hopefully she will pass the collection on. If she decides not to keep them she will also know the value of my collection and not be riped of by someone if she sells it.

    Thanks for the reply!
