I picked this up at a yard sale for a $1 do you think I got hurt, what grade do you think and as always thanks.
I wouldn't have paid more than $0.10 personally, but if you are a beginning collector, it is always an interesting piece to own. -Brian
The question is why did you like it? That's why you should understand the grading scale, strikes and luster characteristics. Why did you feel it was worth going after? There is a ton of information out there on these points. What would be better and what would be worse on that coin? Did you want a hole filler for an album? Believe me I am still learning, but getting better. Welcome to our world. By the way, I like the reverse of that coin.
Thanks to all. I was at the yard sale and had a buck to spare and it looked good so I went for it. I like it cause of the reverse. And I am going to need it down the line cause I plan to collect the whole set.
You can buy all three of the 1943 cents in mint state for just a few bucks. Just watch out for the replated ones.
Every now and then when I buy from an on line dealer, they will throw one of those in for free with my order.
