    Here is another coin (not my image) with an elephant; this was gold emergency money. :)

    German East Africa (DOA) 1916, thus issued in WW1. Due to the war and thus lack of supply, the DOA government could not issue "regular" coins. However, they had lots of gold from a mine in Tabora, and so ...

    I have the round type 1943 or 1944 of this coin it is Brass & also Congo but not sure about Belgian.

    This type ,this year= only Belgian. It's on the coin and rounded type of 2 francs is 1946 and 1947.

    Not a whole elephant but just the head of an elephant.

    This series of Roman Republican denarii used pairs of symbols on pairs of dies. The two symbols are always linked in some way. There are theories that they relate to guilds etc. though we really don't know why they were selected. In this case they used a barbed spear head on the obverse and an elephant head on the reverse, which may well refer to gladiators.
