Hi, recently I seen a coin on the show pawn stars it was a 2 dollar Newfoundland gold coin, That sold for like $3000 but it was in a fancy case with a serial number that was apprised by some coin company.. I have a gold coin like the one on pawn stars it's year is 1880, and until I saw the coin on pawn stars I always thought it was one of those tokens you get for different places or something along those lines, It was left to me by a grand parent who never collected coins (or so I thought). Anyways I know that the one on pawn stars was in that case and was apprised I believe but the one I have is just a coin that was kept in an old tabacco can along with a hundred dollar bill from the 50s and some Pins with different things on them, So is this coin worth anywhere near the one on pawn stars and if so where would I go to sell something like this, I'm from a small town and we don't even have a pawn shop or anything line that. Any info. Would be greatly appreciated.
First, you should try to get some digital pictures of your coin (preferably clear, high-resolution pictures) and post them here so that we can get an idea of what exactly you have.
