I,am very excited to present the following note though the Series 641
Is probably one of the least expensive to collect, i just found one that
Is very rare at both PCGS and PMG i currently have a PCGS 66PPQ and
Found this PMG 67EPQ since i,am mostly a PCGS guy i will be cutting this
Out of it,s current PMG holder and resubmitting to PCGS looking for
The PCGS 67PPQ i have been very fortunate to cross over on both ends
And get similar results this has a population of only 2 !!! this is the
    Highest grade known!

    Enjoy it ;)

    Nice one. :)

Are you into the AAFES Pogs?

I collect them, but only the ones with ladies on them. Of course.

    Now back to MPC,

This vignette on the note is titled "Laura" and she was engraved by Richard M. Bower. Yes indeed, truly magnificently uncirculated MPC's are a scarcity. I wished my dad had brought back some of the series 661 $10s, he had a wad of small change and $1 bills when he came back 'cause he was out in the field on C-day.

Nice upgrade Rusty. PCGS is running a "Crossover" special this month.

I,am just hoping for an equal grade but sometimes you can get tripped up on the
Paper quality since PMG will allow somethings that PCGS wont! but i have had
Good luck in the past :)

The Series 661 $10 is one of the most pursued Mpc, I,ve got a 67PPQ one of four in
The grade there very expensive fetching between $2.700 and $3,000!

    I will check that out....LOL :)

I,am probably going to wait until the Long Beach show in September as i,am moving back
To California, At the show it usually takes a day, two top,s if you send it in, it,s allot
More expensive plus you have to wait 6-8 weeks!

The only reasoning I can see for the scarcity of the $10 was that the Series 661 was the first with the $20, so they probably figured they didn't need as many $10s as before. The 641 Series $10s are easily affordable, even in crisp uncirculated. When I was a kid I played with the small change MPC's, took them to school etc. Surprised they never were lost or seriously damaged. I still have them today, with a small pile of Vietnamese currency, coins, and Japanese and Australian coins that my dad brought back. I remember he stopped through Hong Kong on the trip home and bought us all sorts of toys - I passed those over and went right for the money!

Rusty, Great looking note. I have to ask though, what do they charge to grade? I'm thinknig of piggybacking with a dealer I know and should probably get an idea of the cost of having a note graded. One is a Black Eagle, the others are FRN's or fractionals.

    Hey Matt,

PCGS charges around $25 to grade one note the price goes down if you submit in bulk
I like to go to the show,s and do it because it,s not only cheaper but you get your
Notes back in hours vs month,s !!

Even though the populations our less in the $10,s (661) then the $20 there our more $10,s over
All that our graded, i just landed this Series 661 $20 a couple of months ago in 68PPQ this has
A population of one!! at PCGS and none at PMG the finest known example!

Your right on the Series 641 $10 very reasonable, i have a 67PPQ i picked up for about $300
I know who has the one and only 68PPQ and i have been after him for months to sell it to me
I would say that would be worth around $500 to $700 still very reasonable in comparison
To the Series 661 $10 and $20 notes

The one $10 I have been searching for awhile for a nice example of is the Series 591 - usually they are fairly scruffy or have been penned up etc. But even the $5 was a bit of a stinker to find in a collectable grade. The other one I really want is the Series 691 $5
