Recently sent some 2010 P ATB bullion coins to NGC for Early Release grading. They used the generic National Treasures label as shown on their website. How do dealers get the special Park Specific Labels that show the features honored on the coin?

Do the grading companies agree to give large marketers a certain amount of 70s and 69s? I have seen 70s and 69s both with surface defects or no visual difference.

Not bashing anything...I love having modern coins graded as a means of coin protection and presentation.

No. But what the marketers do is screen the coins beforehand and only send in those they think have the best chance of getting the grades they want. The better you are at grading, the better your chances.

Many, I might even say most, have the same problem as you. That doesn't mean there isn't a difference though. It just means you can't see it.

I don't know if the Park Specific inserts are available to everyone or if they can be bundled with Early Releases. You would have to call NGC Customer Service and check...........800-642-2646
