WotzDisDen ? Here is one of my prized possessions ! Patented Feb 25, 1890. Can you guess what it is from my first pic ?
That's cool. I was just wondering about this sort of thing, how do you go to a closing place and get there stuff? I thought they just gave it to a nearby branch,
I bought the building for the Vault & 5 safes, to store my coin collection in :hail: Pic of Vault time locking unit
Yep, 5000 sq ft, Old Wells Fargo Bank built in 1951. I basically got it for the value of the 3 commercial lots it sits on. Wells Fargo was liquidating older banks as they merged with some other banks. I remember a bank in Cincinnati (late 60's to early 70's) that was converted to a bar. The Vault was in the basement & you could go down & inside it. Somewhere DownTown Cincinnati.
Believe it or not, only 56 cents in loose coins. They really cleaned it out pretty good. No Buffalo Nickels
there's another one like that in 'nati, but it's not downtown. teller's is the name. there's also a couple of furniture stores that used to be banks.
They turned a bank near me into a night club called "The Bank" of all things... Anyway, pretty sweet. Mt Clemens MI http://thebanknightlife.com/ Also, love the coin counting machine!
Well, it probably won't turn around in 5 years. so.... I'll give you an example. My house was valued at 180k 9 years ago. Today it is valued at 70k, and would never sell for that. That goes for commercial land as well.
