is all walking liberty going to have a letter on it i cant find one on mine can anybody give me some info on that and what they sell for premium wise???? thanks
What are you talking about? If you are talking about mint-mark, then it is on the reverse, just below the left wing. Premium wise, you won't get any unless the coin has some eye appealing toning on it.
1943 without mint mark (made in Philadelphia) is one of the most common dates in the Walking Liberty half dollar series, so the coin would have to be in exceptional condition to be worth a premium over the silver price.
Well, the 1943-P is probably the easiest to obtain. Looking at the mintage figures in the Redbook, I see that more than 53 million 1943 Walking Liberty halves were minted in Philadelphia, which was 5 million+ more than its nearest competitor, the 1942-P. The 1945-P, at 31.5 million pieces, is a distant third, with the other two wartime P mints (1944 and 1941) not far behind that.
Plus a few rare 1940-1945 W/missing A&W engraved on Rev. Here a 45 with A&W. But you can spot one with missing A&W is easy in a higher grades.
