If you are interested in the banknotes of South America I'd suggest looking at the LANSA(The South American Banknote Society) web site at http://latinamericanpapermoneysociety.org/

Full of great articles but the real gem is the gallery where you can view banknotes from all the various countries .... somewhere where I spend hours drooling over some notes I'd love to own

I believe it originally came from the BEP, but I purchased it from a third party.

don't listen to them. Gem notes are stupid. Tattered notes are the best! Send those my way I'll swap you! :)

I picked up 8 consecutive 1934D $5 Silver Certificates. This is one example.

I added another Citizens Bank of Louisiana note to my collection. This one is their $2 note. I have just obtained a $3 note but need
    to still photograph it. P1010842.jpg

I FINALLY got my Heritage auction package today! I was looking for some early $10's to add to the collection, specifically a North Africa Note. I got lucky and found a lot with two in them along with some 1928B Series I needed. Enjoy these and the confederate $50 I got, and swoon over the complete offset $1 error note, my first one!

Looks like you got a little of everything Matt.....emergency notes, CSA, and a very cool error.
Congrats on your new additions. I got this yesterday from the Stacks-Bowers auction. It's my first $20 Tampa National.

This is my $3 note from the Citizen's Bank I mentioned yesterday. Photographed it this morning. P1010067.jpg

Thanks Steve. I went for exactly that, a little of everything. The main thing was a nice error note and I think I got that in a decent grade. I'm thinking the 45 is due to the mark across Washngton's face. I can't really see any folds, although they may be light.

Congrats on your new national, I wish I could get one from here, or my hometown, but they're pretty scarce.

Salty, those are sweet obsoletes. Do they have any other denominations you currently own? If not, are you trying to get the whole set?

I have the $5 and $10 from the Citizens Bank as well. The $5 note is bi-lingual, it's in both French and English. They appeared to have had two outlets. One in New Orleans and the other in Shreveport. There may be more but I am not aware of them. I am trying for the complete set. I was just outbid on the $500 note. Sniped at the last possible moment but I made him pay dearly for it.
