REALLY??? May I ask how you came to that price. It is really unbelievable how many older coins I have found (pre-65) that are double died and even with cherrypix guide I can't find either that particular year or mint.

I wouldn't take much stock in that price. Nickel varieties are very hard to sell... If this is even a variety at all... I don't see anything.

What would you put as the price tag?

It is very bodly doubled with very distinct seperation between the letters ad #'s over and under. I really need to invest in a much better camera than this phone. I dont know if it is a variety but it is very much in the DD category. Also it is heavier. The points are much taller than any nickel Ive ever seen. Almost like it had two clad layers or something

It looks to have MD, judging by the motto (particularly "D" in "GOD"). I am not sure if I am missing other doubling on the coin that others are detecting. Either way, the doubling is very minimal and if it WERE actually CPG variety, being in that low of a grade, I would expect it to bring little to no premium. Again, that is even if it IS a variety coin (I don't have my CPG on hand to look it up). I'm sticking with MD due to the fact that I have never heard of this variety.

Well i just wrote half a book trying to explain a few things. I guess ill juat take it to a trusted dealer/ friend across town tomorrow. It weighs more than 5gs and it isnt in bad shape. I wish i had better cam. Ill get one of those tomorrow too. Ill just go sell one of these other big error coins ive had very pleasant offers on while people on another forum said similar and some exact remarks Im hearing nkw lmao. U seem to know a lot... what is my 1884 S in my profile pic worth?? Just curious...if u know true value of something that has real value

Also.. id like to know what kind of quality u think a few of my '16 d's that i snapped a pic of in my pic folder. As with you, i am not older than majority of people that even know what numismatics means. I look through my change when i get bored working with my collec. I am not discounting u. I just dont think u took into consideration what i trid to explain and only took what u know and discounted me. Like i said, im just curious what u grade my 84 and the '16's r in so i know how to take your opinions possibly for future reference

The Morgan I can generously call a high AU coin (although your photograph is somewhat low-quality). You don't have to be so condescending either. I honestly do not care what your opinion is about me. This is an informational and enjoyable website. Us members are just stating our opinions, and if you don't like what you hear, then don't bother making threads. We will ultimately reply with PERSONAL opinions. Sometimes they mean good news to the TC, and sometimes they include some bad news as well. I am sticking with what I previously posted; The coin has MD.

Not really sure what you mean by "the age thing". We have plenty of young, intelligent members as well as old, experienced members. As for the coin. It's hard to tell from the photographs, but I see nothing out of the ordinary. I would call it a regular nickel.

the age thing? What exactly are you implying? Half of your previous comment I didn't even understand, and I guess that goes for SWThirteen as well since he has the same question. And also, I very much agree with his comment. I've seen unexperienced elders on this sight and well experienced minors on this site. Being that I am only 15 years old, I can relate :too-funny: .

I was in no way meaning to offend anyone with the "age" thing. I just found that a grading company that has graded the coin twice (80's & 00) to be quite more reputable than someone of 15yrs of age claiming people tell him he has more knowledge than a true for life collector of fifty yrs. Not to offed, just trying to get a feel for extent of knowing. I put this one in new case so u couldnt see. What grade would u place it? The 1893...ill put it in my gallery as well for the time being.

Look, not to be so harsh, but this is not a coin worth keeping. It doesn't look to have any type of DDO, but only a very small amount of MD. I may be 15 and I may not know everything there is to know about coins, especially doubled-dies, but I have seen many similar coins to this turn out to be just MD. My opinion is judging from previous situations. Go buy a soda pop w/ that coin ;)!

I disagree. It's actually worth a melt value of $0.0622203.
