    Congrats on the Frankie VACookey!

    I went to two banks today which both had dumps....$500 at one bank and $2000 at another. I only bought 50 at each and one bank was a fold over and the other was razored on the side. The annoying thing is that I've found good halves at both banks in the past, and now they are dump banks for someone.

    I got a box from one of my normal banks and broke my skunk streak.......after 6 skunks, I found ONE 40%er on roll #46 out of 50. LOL. At least it isn't a shutout....

    Box2: Skunkaroni n' cheese....

    Got up to 6 more boxes this weekend, wish me luck!

    Oh, and the bank with the coin machine (totally free) informed me yesterday that their "regional" manager told them not to order boxes for me any more. I would close the account, but the coin machine is nice to use...sigh...

    Why did little ol' me show up on that radar???? WTF, small box orders (maybe 6 total since inception)....sheesh...

    Being a roll-searcher, I would buy them anyway just in case too.

    It's probably because you seem to be dumping at the same bank as you're picking up. Bank tellers/managers hate that. Coin out one day and all back the next day will get you cut off quickly.

    Ace,

    I thought for sure you would score a Roosie in those dimes. Just think about the next time you find silver in a roll, it will be all good again.

    Just been a tough week so far, but I'm not worried. I know this is a numbers thing. Soon enough I'll have that great streak with Silver coming in left and right. It takes a lot more than a few bad days for me to get frustrated.

    Each day is a new start. I woke up today feeling today is the day that I break the streak!

    I hope we all have some good coin hunting this weekend!

    ccit,

    Nice find on the Merc and very impressive totals on the nickels. What mint marks were the war nickels?

    Well, just when I thought I was going to get into dimes, I find a lone 40% among 3 halves. Also, I have had terrible luck with dimes, actually. I think I have found 4 quarters, 3 halves (all 67's.) and 0 dimes. Very, very strange. I hear that quarters have the worst chance finding anything, but then again, we all need to do laundry...so maybe I unknowingly go through more quarters than anything else.

    Also, great finds on the Merc and Franklin! I am very happy for both of you!

    Well, the reason I went there was because the bank manager originally told me they have other collectors that order coinage, and I was welcome to do the same. He even mentioned "Hey, if you need to return them we have the machine here too."

    I truly think the regional was getting wind of the "fees" for ordering so many halves...we'll see. I ordered from the same bank, different branches, and I know they have the same regional.

    They have a nice coin machine btw: separates all coins into their respective bags.

    Friday Report

    BWR H's: 56 rolls -> 1 x 40%, 2 x NIFC
    CWR H's: 1 roll -> skunk
    Loose H's: $1 -> skunk
    BWR P's: 50 rolls -> 8 rolls Cu, 9 wheaties

    The no car thing is really messing up the hunt. :headbang:

    Got a box of H's coming in at my favorite bank this afternoon; although I didn't order any, I'm hoping they have some D's; spoke with the vault manager yesterday, and will be setting up some standing orders for the future.

    Good luck, weekend warriors!

    Hey guys, Kind of a roll searching question.......Outside of e-bay and paypal because of fee's, if you're looking to make a trade or buy $500 to $1,000 worth of "whatever" with another poster here on cointalk, how would go about doing it safely?

    btw, BOTH of us visit this forum So I'm welcoming ALL idea's. Thanks.
