Ok, it's not beat half to death or anything, but this is the dirtiest coin I've ever bought. The only reason I bought it was because I loved the design and had never seen this particular piece or subject matter in coin form before: Guy
Too bad I sold my Walker that had been whizzed and dipped to death. It looked like someone was experimenting on it. The coin dealer thought it was hilarious when he pulled it out of the ziplock bag full of silver I sold him.
After much examination, I have concluded that the date is probably 1910 (unsure whether or not there was a mintmark at one point). Then again, it is so far gone. I could just be imagining that that date is there . Either way, this was an interesting CRH find! Pulled it from a roll just a couple weeks ago. :thumb: -Brian

Here's a civil war token that I found metal detecting. I didn't take a picture of the reverse, but it looks pretty similar (says 'Our Navy'). I do think I've identified it though.
That Washington has had more of its fair share of run ins with well...everything including the kitchen sink.
Let's see before & after pictures I'm surprised that nobody has attempted to restore any of these coins to their original condition.

I used to have a 18th century large cent that looked like it had been run over by a train. Wish I knew where it was... This coin came in a couple of pounds of world coinage.
Well, here's my trainwreck and she's a beauty! Abe's looking a little worn out these days. This actually looks like it was run over by a train, so I guess it fits in this thread. Bruce
