Brinks has been skunking me left and right recently. The other rolls, I'm not sure. I think they're Garda?

Moonshine - I agree too. Actually the $200 from yesterday was from about 7 different banks. I started to see a trend with the type of wrappers being the same.

The last bank I went to had more than $500, but I only took $100. Glad I did as it was all skunk from the same guy.

I wish they'd just go to the TD's and other banks in the area with coin counters. I just don't get rerolling and dumping when there are 100's if not 1000' of banks in our area that do the coin counting?

    It's really annoying.

My first skunk was a Brinks (B/W stripes, long flat box) from BoA; have yet to get a skunk String (yellow stripes, long flat box) from Chase.

I hope I didn't just jinx the String I'm picking up tomorrow...

Then again, my best finds have been with rolls of CWR between 150$ & 250$.

I'd say a bigger red flag would be if the CWR were originally BWR with one end unwrapped and folded back down. If they are just CWR like the brown ones or something then you never know....

Went to get my weekly halfves box @ Charter One, but she forgot to order b/c of the holiday, oh well, I'm not too upset after the way things turned out yesterday. Got another box coming tomorrow anyway. Now I can see why crackheads get it so bad, this is like an addiction...I need my fix. After one big high, you want to catch an even bigger high...lol.

I searched quarters today, $500, in a mix of bank and customer rolls. I found no silver but I did find the following:

*Two Canadians (both were from 2002, during Elizabeth's Golden Jubilee and are dated 1952-2002).
*Eight America the Beautifuls (5 were Hot Springs [The funny thing is I had trouble finding even one in circulation not too long ago], two were Grand Canyons, and one was Gettysburg).

I also picked up a roll of 2011 Native American dollars at my dump bank. I now have a roll of each year of the Native American program (2009, 2010, and 2011).

My Skunk streak continues as well. My 3rd box of halves tonight - Skunk.

    $190 in dimes - Skunk!

Tomorrows another day and another delivery of halves. Hoping the next three will be good.

The weird thing about these past 3 boxes were that they were actually all very consistent.

Tons of '71's, 74's, 76's and extremely shiny (almost uncirculated) 95's and 96's.

Anyone else ever see a strange pattern too?

Dumped $299 in halves, exactly, and got $299.75 from the counter at TD, I'll take extra money all day. Went to the other TD, no more boxes, so I took $125 in dimes, and found a 64, and a 43. My first Mercury dime from circulation!! Not bad for half a box!

Found 2 2011 dimes too, my first for the year, I guess I missed out on the full boxes of 2011 change?

I haven't had any luck lately with finding half dollars. Nobody seems to have any and the chick at the bank kept forgetting to order a box. But finally, a box came in today. I was disappointed to see it was a yellow box (since I have no luck with those) but I brought it home to start searching. Roll after roll, nothing. Then I found a 67 and a 69. WOO HOO!

Then I opened a roll and immediately I was blinded. SHING! ~sparkle sparkle~

This coin was almost white. I haven't seen anything like that before, not even the 64 I found. So I'm thinking: what is that? I'm practically hyperventilating when I see a liberty bell!

By far, the best half I have EVER found! My first Franklin!!!! I still have 17 rolls left to search. I hope I find something else good.

You know, my two biggest scores were from $150 in CWR halves, and again from $350ish in CWR halves (including a full roll of 40%ers in the 350). So, you roll the dice with CWR.

Haven't found a silver half in a while, but over the past week I've got 4 NIFCs, a Statue of Liberty commem., and 3 or 4 proofs.
Also found 2 war nickels and 4 silver dimes (all Roosies) over the past week, so it hasn't been a complete waste.

Oh, and also, I picked up 4 boxes of cents yesterday, only to find 3 of them were all 2011s. I was disappointed, to say the least. I suppose they'll have to go on ebay or something, I dunno.

EDIT: And to that post right above me, congrats on that Franklin! It's a beauty.

My best score was 3 rolls of CWRs. I found 27 silver coins that day. Best. Score. EVER!

And thank you. I'm pretty jazzed about my shiny new Franklin :)

3 boxes of dimes and a box of halves all turned up silverless :( did find 1 %40'er in $50 CWR so day not a complete waste. Got 4 more boxes of dimes to look through later tonight hope to find at least 1 silver dime in those.
