Wow, that is not a good result. Worries me since I search mostly dimes cuz I never get any halves in this area.

Those are good numbers, $11.00 in silver for $0.40 face!

Checked it, no PNC bank in these parts. I hit 6 or 7 every Sat morning and pick up maybe a couple dollars worth. No silver yet from teller trays. And there is one bank where the lady always looks at them before she hands them over. I've stopped getting halves from there because she is searching everything.

    Merc,

Did you pick up a box of D's from WF? Just wondering if you had any luck. Like I mentioned I got a box D's from BoA yesterday and so far so good, only went thru a 1/4 of it (with work and re-rolling and all) and I'm pleased.

Went in to get it, and they told me my halves arrived early, so I took those instead and didn't have enough cash for the dimes.

Merc - WF is ordering halves for you? My main one says they can't order them, and I've been with them back when it was Meridian in the early 1990's. That ticks me off!

Checked $210 in CWH's at lunch an NOTHING! Someone was dumping up and down a stretch of highway by me (mainline). I cashed them and got my box of halves and $100 in dimes to search tonight.

Also - just found out a few of my Ikes are Type 2's! That's good news!

They're lying, they absolutely can, I have a friend that's a teller who orders me a box a week.

Type two's seem to be much more common in the Philly area than elsewhere, I'm thinking they were originally distributed in this area.

Good to know! That really got me mad. I've had all my businesses with these clowns and have moved tons of money through their banks...so, I'll hit them up when I get more capital. Have you had good success with them?

Any suggestions on what to do with them? I don't see a need to hold onto the Ikes. I picked up 9 more today which brings me to 86. I'd rather have the money for silver searching, but if I bundle these in a lot of 100 and throw it on eBay...do you think someone would pay more knowing the Type 2's are in there?

I've read about Brinks vs String...what's people's experience with Brinks Halves??? Good, Bad, In-between? Just curious?

Boom or bust. Far more often bust. White and Black rolls, long boxes.

Some WF branches will, and some won't....Whether that is a "lie" or a business decision is up to your interpretation.
