Ladies and Gentlemen, I now present the final mohur. Please take a good look and tell me what is the odd thing about this coin.
yes but the royal mint goofed up big time they dont have the right to create a mohur coin but they have done that by accident
I love the simple design that fits that size coin perfectly. Please forward the pics to the U.S. mint, attention ATB quarter department.
yes because they think the mohur is the name of the coin. it is actually a unit of currency its like saying a $coin and you cant do that for a medal.
I love the ATBs. The detail in them is amazing. What you need to do is forward the pics back in time before they started the states. THOSE needed some serious work.
Is this a coin or a medal? If it is a coin, what country? I don't believe the East India Company still exists. So it is probably supposed to be a commemorative medal. If so the reverse is probably showing a representation of one of the East India Companies coins, and since the Royal Mint DID have the right to make coins for the EIC I don't see a problem with it. Who knows, may the EIC does still exist and this is a new coin for them.
its a medal in intent and a coin in reality. the EIC still exists. medals are not supposed to have currency on them this one does. whats worse the charter of 1677 was never reversed. so that coin is legal tender of the areas controlled by the company which in todays time would be their stores.
Great, Where can I get one? Never mind, I found it. Did a little searching and the East India Company that exists today is not the same company. The original EIC that had the right to have their own coinage was dissolved in 1874. Todays company is basically marketing gourmet foods, mainly from Great Britain.
The EIC that was dissolved is the same EIC that has been recreated. The current owners bought the shares from the descendants of the original owners. they are starting with gourmet foods and they will go on to other things. the owner mr mehta is an indian and he got this crazy idea.
