Box of nickels was more than half 2011's on both sides. I think I opened about 10 rolls, which yielded nothing. The 2011's are starting to pile up for me.

Found and searched about $90 in BWD's this morning. Found a '54 Rosie. So, 1 rosie, 1 Canadien Silver, and a few wheaties for the kids this weekend! OCMD is dry on halves!

    Back to the pool!

Tried to go metal detecting in the Lake today, but the waves were too much. I found a lot targets but it was impossible to dig them. So will have to wait for a better time for that.
The day was not a total loss, went roll hunting and found these....

    $320 partial box yielded 3 40% halves
Also got $22 in loose, but skunked there.

And this morning I got a 1940s Nickel in my change.

My other bank didn't come through with the box (Tues next week), so I went to a bunch of banks and found about $165 in halves in both CWR and loose......a whopping 2 40%ers. Of course, that is 2 more than my last 5 boxes, so given that comparison, I'll take it....LOL.

I got a box of dimes and will open that later.

    Box of dimes; Skunk.

Box of cents, mostly common wheats, 3 BU's, one struck-through grease, 4 canadians... and on the second to last roll, my second-ever 1999 WAM. :D This one is nowhere near as attractive as the first, though, which was MS63-64 RD. I'd grade this one XF45.

    72 Hours of fun...

Today I picked up 7 BU 1964's at one bank.
A second bank a guy just dumped 2000 Ikes.
I bought 5 rolls of them and all 100 were Bicents. They are holding the rest until I decide if I want them or not next week.
Then I go into another bank and the teller says she has 3 rolls. As she is getting them out of her drawer, she is telling me how she collects silver coins....I found 23 40%'ers in the 3 rolls. lol

Anyway, treasure hunt started Wedneday after work.. 2 boxes (1 a skunk), 18 banks, and 2 garage sales later...

    63 40%'ers
    1 Walker
    12 Franklins
    1 1893 Columbian Commem 1/2
    1 1923 Peace
    1 1986 ASE
    166 Ikes
1900 more Ikes if I want them.
    62 1964's (53 of them sweet BU)
1 ATB 5 ounce Yellowstone (delivered Thursday to my house)

Just sad to see closing time come today.

Wow Erin, did you get most of that at face value too? I see that you said you hit up some garage sales too. Awesome finds for you. LOL about that teller, guess she don't know about 40%ers!

I just dumped this mornings round up of loose halves and a partial box, found a '43 Steelie Cent in the reject bin! My first Steelie! That will fill a folder slot.

Box of nickels yielded about a roll of pre-'58's, a 1920 Buff, and 3 BU's with FS or near FS from earlier than 1970.

Yes, most at face. The 1986 ASE ($30), the Peace ($22), the Commem ($8), and 5 of the 90%'ers ($10 each) were the garage sale finds. The ATB was US Mint ($285), rest face.

Halves must be so much easier to find down there in Texas. Sucks to live here, halves are impossible or nearly impossible to find.

Wow...I had just the opposite luck this week. Great job.

I opened the box of dimes and found one silver Roosie. :)

I know this is OT and against the rules, but if any of my fellow roll-searching fiends want to buy my new '99 WAM, $100 and it's yours. If not, it goes on the bay shortly.

I guess I missed that post.....You finally found your 99! Awesome dude.

As I stated earlier, You ARE the king of WAMS!

What post is it? Did you provide a pic?

I already had a '99. The '96 is what I don't have. Didn't post a pic because it's in poor shape, and because I've been really busy. Hoping to grab some acetone on my way home tomorrow and give it an overnight soak and see if that helps it's condition at all. I'd grade it XF or AU50, so value somewhere around $150-$175, imho, minimum.

I'll snap a few quick pics right now...

$80 in halves yielded 1 '68. Finally got back into it since I'm done with school.

Merc, what is a 99 WAM and what makes it so valuable?

LOL...yep, there it is....on the same page.

Congrats. I actually didn't know that there was a 96 WAM. Is that a fairly recent discovery?

1999's are super tough to find. I've found 2 in something like 350k cents searched. They used three dies on the '99's, one of which was a carry-over from 1998, and the other, which was only used for a bit at the end of the year and carried over into 2000. The 1998's and 2000's come along maybe once every 3 or 4 boxes, not exactly common either, but nowhere near as rare as the '99's.

I haven't determined which die my newest one is, yet, but my old one is the rarest die, the unclashed one.

EDIT: Just looked, my new one is also the unclashed variety. Coolio. :)
