Guess that's one reason the keys on the cash registers have pictures instead of numbers ?

I just got back from the hospital. I read that and had to go to the emergency room !! My heart nearly gave out entirely. I hope that was for more than a month ? My natural gas bill for last month topped 120 and that hurt.

I've been paying for stuff with $2 bills for about a year.

They have been refused only twice, once at a Shoprite yesterday and once in a foreign country on vacation.

Used a $2 to buy a valentine's day card and the cashier said, "you hate me, don't you?" because theres "no space for THIS in the drawer"...

Almost a sign of the times when a clerk can get a really rare piece for the till and cannot afford to buy it for themselves. The GOP started the War on Poverty............and they won! Time to quit the war on poor folk. IMHO

something JUST happened last night, i was going to a hypnotist show for my class so we can fundraise, and they said they needed $1 bills, so i take out my wallet and i have 7 dollars in small bills, and then a few dollar coins, so i give them the small bills and one dollar coin, and my classmates look at it and have to ask one of our class advisors if " we take these " after i explained that it was a dollar coin they acted like they have never seen one before

SBA's are almost as much fun as $2 notes. I spend the SBA's to get a rise out of the cashier. It's great when your bill is like $2.54 and you toss down 3 SBA's. They think it's 75 cents EVERYTIME. hehehehe

I have often used Susies, Sacagaweas, and $2s at toll booths, and I never had a problem.

Of course, I don't think there are any toll booths around here any more...

The lady was pretty rude when I gave her the $2 I almost though about offering to just take it back and use it elsewhere.

I was at an auction recently and went to the concession for coffee. I had taken a few of the 2007 D Washington $1 I got from two roll I got at the bank. (Previously searched, all the same coin) and tried this again. Yep, took them without lifting an eyelash. No response whatsoever.

This surely isn't as much fun as I thought it might be. I mean clearks here have trouble counting your change, but not taking your money. Go figure

    That's Rich !
But quite honestly, I thought the very first new $10 bill was monopoly money or something. lol The clerk even told me "It's real, really". I just never saw US currency with a color other than green before.

Bill yesterday was $1.05. I paid with 3 half dollars. After looking at them for quite some time, she gave me 2 dimes for change. I told her I needed 45 cents. She disagreed. I said that I gave her 3 have dollars. She said, that that was $1.25. I said, no, it is a dollar and 50 cents. She then gave me, very gingerly, 2 more dimes. I told her I still needed a nickel. She thought about it, and gave it to me. This is the 2nd time I have that kind of exchange. They count 2 of them as a dollar, but the odd one they think is a quarter. LOL.

    I had fun.

These all make for some hilarious stories, but i don't get why you guys spend them at face value. If you guys have halves or silver dollars you want to spend, why not just sell them to me, i'll give you 2-4x face. :) and pay shipping
