Grading Service INB

I was just looking at a coin on ebay, and checking its value in my May issue of Coin World so it seemed awfully fishy. The coin is graded by INB. Here is the address for the auction which has ended now, http://cgi.ebay.com/USA-1960-FRANKL...71?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item5ae0445013

My question is: Is INB a legitimate grading service? I'm new to the real collecting and haven't heard of them and the deal seemed too good to be true. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Nope, thats a self slabber. That slab is actually a Coin World slab that you can buy in 3 packs for .99. Most of my U.S. coins are in those kind of slabs. You can even make your own labels for them, like that auction has.

No. If the coin was really MS70, it'll make numismatic headlines. It looks about MS65.

The major coin grading services are:

    The top: PCGS and NGC
    Below it: ICG and ANACS

I really appreciate the quick responses. I kinda figured that was what was going on. Kinda sickening really.

Why because rzage hasn't heard of it? I've heard of it. What does that make it? :) Of course I've heard of dozens of companies most people haven't heard of.

That's because I know everything . LOL There's some outfit we were talking about out of Michigan that I never heard of and it turned out legit . But i'd still stick with the big boys in having a coin certified , but buying I buy the coin not the slab .

$1000 but I paid the price of a MS-60 ($100) so not a terrible deal, but misrepresented all the same. Took it to 3 dealers: one said 61, the other two said 64, I personally give it 63. But all said APEX was crap. Caveat Emptor!

That would be Michigan Masters. Neat edge view slab they've got where you can see the entire edge while looking straight on at the coin. Lets you see the entire edge without obscuring any of it, and doesn't have material hanging over the rim like the NGC prongs or the PCGS soft "rubber" gasket do.

That's what they were saying , decent graders , a good support staff , and great edge view slab if you need it . I think . How about a pic of their slab .
