    Awesome Merc!!

    I got around 30 branches here and once you count side streets and all is about 20 miles of driving.... Made the run a month ago and got nothing.. thinking of searching while dumping as that I have a few weeks worth of halves to dump..

    Sounds nuts, but this is in about a 10 miles square radius.. you have to drive extra for u turns, etc.

    Doesn't sound that crazy, I mean, just go to google maps, zoom in on the greater philly area, type banks, and voila! Tons and tons of red dots. Ace has a road near him (I shall refer to it as "his turf") that is just bank after bank after bank after bank for miles.

    Not really roll searching, but I got a star note again today!

    Somebody at school gave me change for a 5 for the vending machine, and one of them was a star note :D

    It helps that the tellers look at for me, they call when stuff builds up. They also save stuff for me. Of course gift cards, little favours always go a long way.

    2 boxes of halves last night:

    Box1: 1-40%'er and 1-90%'er (1934D Walker - my first)
    Box2: 9- 40%'ers

    So far I'm on a run of luck, but I'm sure it will end :(

    Picked up $50 in dimes BWR's with nothing to show. I'm planning on hitting up a bunch of banks this weekend and will have a decent amount of cash to buy coin. I'm hoping I find some silver to keep me going over the loong weekend. Good luck to everyone

    Friday Report

    BWR H's: 150 rolls -> 11 x 40%, 1 '64; first box had 1 '64, second box had 11 x 40% and a SBA dollar, last box was a SKUNK! (First skunk box. EVAH!)
    CWR H's: 20 rolls -> skunk
    Loose H's: $42.00 -> 1 x 40%
    BWR D's: 90 rolls -> skunk
    BWR P's: 50 rolls -> 10 rolls Cu, 8 wheaties

    My P searching was lagging this past week - must pick it up this coming week! I've also started looking for NIFC H's, maybe found a dozen of those - varying years, and a really nice 2001-S proof.

    Well, I've been at this for about 6 weeks now, and I ain't got no complaints!

    Got a box of H's coming in at my favorite bank this afternoon; maybe get some D's too. :D

    Ok, after reading through this thread I have the itch. I went to my bank to ask for a box of halves, & they said they dont order halves at all. I persisted untill they called the main branch in the next town. The main branch said I could purchase $100 per week. I asked about counter coins, & this is where I get confused. The teller told me that all bags from the counter had to be sold to Intrust. I don't know why though, you'd think transportation costs of that much weight would encourage a small hometown bank such as mine to sell their machine counted bags to customers.

    Erin!!!!!!!

    Wow man. How fun. Congrats!!!!!!!!!!

    What a MONSTER box....87 does tie me for most in a box, but of course, I had 26 90%ers and you had 51 so yours is the king. It sure is fun when you get a box like that, huh?

    Just off the top of my head, after reading this thread for 2 years:
    Erin, (AggieCollector) is perhaps the most successful half searcher here. His stats are staggering.
    Merc is the king of WAMs and Mercs (perhaps)
    Inquisitive, I believe, had the best find ever with something like 308 Franklins in one find. Though didn't some guy in Minnisota get 1500 40%ers in one box.
    I have been quite consistent, and will publish my stats on June 1, which will be my 2nd anniversary of finding this thread and searching for silver.
    GypsyTears has had many amazing finds as well, but I think he trails Erin a little.

    Everyone, keep posting it keeps me motivated. :)

    And by the way....I opened 2 boxes.....both skunks. 4 shutouts in a row for me now. I have one box to go.
