German Pfennig Error

    There are two pfennigs in the picture. I am talking about the one on the right..
    Can anyone explain to me what this is?

    Hey AA,

    I am not sure that is an error. Because of those big dings it has in that area, I suspect it is PMD (Post mint damage). Someone else may disagree however.

    Partial missing clad layer and it lost the piece after striking. These coins are struck on bronze clad steel.
