I found some rolls on eBay, but first I want you guys to tell me how much you would pay for wheat penny rolls on eBay? How about ones with a indian on one side on eBay ? Sorry if I'm getting annoying with my posts.
I know what rolls you are speaking of. They are not what you think they are. They are all staged to get people to pay way to much for them. So my answer is $2. ps: Don't worry about how many posts you make! Thats what the forum is for. Ask away!
Lol. I'll just buy from a dealer since the lowest I can get on eBay is 4.39 P.S.: No one PM me about selling their wheaties!
Think of it. All wheaties (except 1943) are worth 3 cents. 50 wheats in a roll = $1.50/roll. So i'd pay $2(.02)
I would place a bid based solely on the specific coin/s I could see at the end/s of the roll. Then I would reduce that bid amount by 50% because I cannot see the other side of the coin/s. Never expect any other unseen coins inside that roll to be worth a cent.
I wouldn't buy wheat rolls off ebay. With shipping, the price usually goes way too much for what I'm willing to pay. There are plenty of local areas I'll get my wheats from.
G, try not to lose your cool because they are outbidding you. Just contact the seller and tell him you will take every roll he has for $1.75 plus Priority Flat Rate Shipping. Chris
Read the reviews; there's a reason those 'unsearched' rolls only have something decent on the ends. The rest is all filler. So only bid on the end coins, keeping in mind you can only see one side.
It depends on if you think you trust the dealer. Considering this is a common ploy on Ebay I would pay for what you can see and assume the rest is minimal value. I have bought sight unseen lots before and done well, but you need to evaluate the seller carefully.
I wouldn't buy them. I know those rolls are all staged. Plus, buying coins I can't see isn't my thing. I spent many years accumulating coins rather than collecting them...I'm trying to fix that now.
