Well, how about something "girlie"? A nine year old girl is no doubt a princess..I say flowers for a princess-- how about a Botanical Garden Silver Dollar? That, or a lovely crowned coin. Lucy
To all who are suggesting gold coins and Rolls of silver. Your off your rocker. She is 9. A wheat cent makes her happy. If I buy her gold now what will I get for her later? It can only go down hill from there. it's like when my uncle bought his daughter a brand new F350 for her 16th B-day. I was like every car after this one will not be as good. Sure there are better but how many of you got F350's?
Your were talk a roll Eagles right? If so that is hundreds of dollars how many rolls did your parents buy for you? It's not a bad idea if she was into it longer and not 9
If she really likes wheat cents, I would get her a nice red BU wheat cent. Either a slabbed common date for a proof set with one in it. Either way, it shouldn't be too expensive.
You might also consider something from another country to pique her interest in coins a bit more. One of the wolf or grizzly coins from Canada or a kookaburra from Australia.
A $25 box of cents from the bank could be fun to search through and they normally yield anywhere from 5 to 20 wheat pennies.
