Dropped by my bank today to check for general "different" coins and currency. They had six thousand in $100 bills. I did a real quick check of dates, grades, star notes, etc...

Picked up the only Star note...1963A in pretty good condition that I will probably drop on E-bay.

The 1950's were all in pretty good shape, but a lot of the 1960's were fantastic

They are holding the rest for me to research and buy what I want later in the week. Is there anything in particular I should look for?

    OR

Are there any requests from you note/bill collectors out there??

1950 Series E will have a nice premium in higher grades

Especially stars, I bought one at the bank back in 2008 - a $50 and sold it for nearly $400.

None of the 1950's were all that great......I'd say about average. Is the Series E still worth picking up?

Also, any of the 60's worth taking a shot at?

If it were me I would buy them all, save/sell the good ones, and have fun spending the old ones. I love spending old notes and seeing the looks.

WoW.........just SPEND 6 grand? I can't roll with you Fifty!

I'd just be taking it back to the bank for the next several months paying the mortgage.

Even in EF condition you should be able to get a premium for the E series.

Did they have a story on how they got it? Who deposited it? Eg. Little old lady? What circumstances?

It was an old man, usc. Teller said he had all of it in a safe in his home.
Not sure of circumstances or exactly why he was bringing them in at that time.
