I picked up $100 dimes Strings & Sons on Sat morning, skunk. Then I went to cash em in at people's bank, no account so they denied me. I'll have to drop them off at BoA on my lunch break and pick up another $100 from somewhere. Banks let me buy coinage, but cashing in is a different story. I wish I had a TD bank close to me

Was on travel last week, then took a few days off. I checked a couple banks....nothing. I got back late Friday night and on Saturday, I picked up 2 boxes of halves. Skunkdaddy.

Zero silver for all of last week. :( I did find a 1934 Wheatie so at least that is something....

$12 loose halves..no silver, but found a strange 1992. The date looked "flat" but the rest of the coin was fine. It looked like a 1976 Eisenhower Type I. weird.

Speaking of Ike's..picked up 28..........I love my Ike's!

Oh! and last thing.........the bank had $6,000 in old $100 bills!!!!
about 10 1950's, most of the rest were from 1960's, and a few 70's to wrap thing up.
I picked up the only Star note in the bunch, but most of the 60's looked brand new!!

----My main teller said they would keep them for me to come back and look through after I did more research. Any suggestions or requests from the cointalk crowd?

Box of nickels; Almost entirely 2011's. Nothing worth noting on the non-2011 end rolls.

Picked up 1 BWR of halves today and about $19.00 in loose halves from trays - No Silver!

Going to order more halves tomorrow at my bank from last week.

I do have a question about Ike's...Is it worth collecting them if you can find them too? I know some have silver, but what about the non-silver? Is that worth it? All thoughts are welcome.

    Thanks,

    Ace

  11. I hang on to them because they're nifty. The value isn't entirely much, but I like them.

Out of $150 in CWR, got 38 40%ers. It was a fairly nice score for today. I did get $210 from a different bank though, which were all someone's dumps.

That's a real solid score there, congrats.

Making myself wake up early tomorrow to dump and get a box of halves a bank ordered for me last week.

Almost one year after I found my first Buffalo from circulation, I found another today, a 1937.

Cracked 5 cases of pennies over the weekend. Two were nothing but brand new 2011-d issues (anybody know any variations for the 2011's yet?) And the last three cases yielded the usual 30% mix of pre-1982 coppers, 54 wheats, and two nice IHC's. 1883 and a 1907. Pretty nice weekend if you ask me :)

Two IHC's in 3 viable boxes is always a really good weekend.

I was dumping my change last weekend and there was this kid with ~$18 in change at the coin counting machine, guarding an ike dollar with his life, he commented on my two bags of coins (~$300 halves, ~$175 nickels, ~$50 pennies). Then when him and his mom were walking back by me they stopped to talk for a few minutes because the kid wanted to know about how much change I had. So I told him and his eyes just lit up with amazement, so I asked him if he wanted a half dollar, which he did of course. I'd like to think that maybe that kid will now pick up an interest in coin collecting! (If he wasn't already starting to get into it with his Ike)

Box of cents... 10 wheats, the oldest 1944, and 12 canadian. May have found a 1971s ddo, will have to research.

    5 cwr's and $12 loose halves... one 40% and a beat 2010.

Thanks merc, those two IHC's came from the same box believe it or not. Before this past weekend, my last IHC I've attained in a roll was back on 2009. Even tho the 1883 was pretty rough, AG at best, that was the most amazing box I've cracked. Thanks for letting me share.
