I bought this one a few years back when gold was much cheaper.
I picked up my first digital SLR (a refurbished Rebel XS direct from Canon, with the "customer loyalty" discount), and tonight I made my first attempts at photos.
I took it on self timer on a tripod, illuminated with an incandescent desk lamp covered with white paper to cut down on the glare.

Any tips for a budget minder photographer?
Also, any guesses on grade (it's in a PCGS slab)?

    Thanks for the comments.
It's actually slabbed as an MS 63. When I bought it, I thought it looked nicer than any other other 63 I saw.

I'd suggest reading this article by Mark Goodman: Coin Photography Article
The light setup is probably going to play the biggest role in how good your pics come out.

Nice pictures and nice coin. I have one in the same date but in MS-64. I bought this back in February.

CoinGuy56: If you're only 14, how do you afford stuff like double-eagles?

With the help of my Dad, it's called going in halves.
