It is very tough to find material at Greensheet. Lets face it, its a wholesale publication. Occasionally, I will have someone walk in my shop or at a show with a greensheet and try to use it to buy. I don't know if these guys are either ignorant or simply trying to rip me. I generally explain that those prices are wholesale and then ask if they have anything they would like to sell me at that. Almost always, they simply walk away LOL. In addtion, the Greensheet is not a complete pricing guide like the Krause Catalog of US Paper Money (Market Value) or has the depth of the Kelly Book (Nationals). What has been your experience buying at Greensheet aka the Dreamsheet?
Usually you can find things close to ask, and can sell for a bit back of bid. If a dealer disregards such an authoritative publication such as the greensheet, they probably are not looking to build a base of knowledgable collectors.
The Green sheet is a guide only! people that wish to use it as god,s law are mistaken! I went to the Long Beach show last year and i had some special Mpc i was wishing to Sell the dealer asked me if i would sell at the Green sheet i said good luck!! many rare Items get turned over and over again which means the price keep,s going up leaving The sheet in the dust!
